DUSHANBE, June 7, 2015, Asia-Plus – On Friday June 5, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon received Chinese Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun, who arrived in Dushanbe to participate in a meeting of the interior ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member nations.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the two sides discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and China in the field of security and maintenance of public order.
Tajik president reportedly appreciated China’s technical assistance for development of the Tajik law enforcement agencies and training of personnel for the Tajik law enforcement authorities.
Emomali Rahmon stressed that an efficient cooperation between the two friendly countries would promote strengthening of security and stability in the region.
Chine minister, for his part, noted that China will continue supporting sustainable development of Tajikistan in the future as well, the Tajik president’s website noted.
