Dushanbe. 28 August. “Asia Plus” -- The Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan has demanded from the leadership of the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan to stop the illegal activity.
In a statement of the Ministry of Justice notes that, under Article 20 of the Law "On political parties" The Ministry of Justice has sent a notice for the IRP to put an end to illegal activities.
The notice emphasizes that according to paragraph 3 of the Law "On political parties", the political parties of the country should have their party cells in most cities and districts of the republic.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the primary IRP representatives have stopped to work in 58 cities and regions, and in this regard the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan cannot call itself a Republican party and, accordingly, to hold a party congress.
The Ministry of Justice has listed the reasons for which the IRP can no longer be called the Republican Party, the agency requires IRP to stop illegal activities, violating the requirements of the Constitution, the Law "On political parties", the Law "On Freedom of Conscience and Public Associations".
The guidelines of IRP are requested to explore this notice within 10 days after receiving it. In the case of disregarding of the paragraphs notification, will be taken the measures towards the IRP, provided by the law "On political parties".
