The Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan continues to prepare for the report-election congress, scheduled on September 15, on which new leaders of the party will be elected, said the Deputy leader of the IRP Mahmadali Chait.
According to him, the party will soon respond to the claims of the Justice Ministry of the country towards the IRP.
"A response to the Ministry of Justice is almost ready, but we can disclose it after the ministry has officially got our answer," - said Chait.
Recall that on 28 th of August the Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan has demanded from the leadership of the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan to stop the illegal activity.
In a statement of the Ministry of Justice is noted that under Article 20 of the Law "On political parties" The Ministry of Justice has sent a notice to the IRP about stopping illegal activities.
The notice emphasizes that pursuant to paragraph 3 of the Law "On political parties", the political parties of the country should have its party cells in most cities and districts of the republic. Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Justice, the primary representative of the IRP have ceased operations in 58 cities and regions, and in this regard the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan cannot call itself a republican party and to hold a party congress.
Also, in a letter of the Ministry of Justice said that the political parties can change their office only through its own charter. And the change in the statute can make only a party congress. Thus, the Ministry of Justice has called illegal the temporary office in the house of the IRP leader Kabiri, where on August 27 was held a press conference by the IRP, and put forward the demands to the authorities.
Also, the Ministry of Justice accuses the IRP, that being a political party, which has a religious character; it, as a religious organization conducts religious activities and rituals that contradict the legislation.
The Ministry of Justice gave 10 days to the leadership of the IRP in order to study this notice. In the case of non-compliance with the paragraphs notification in regard to the IRP, will be taken measures, provided by the law "On political parties", said the Ministry of Justice on August 28.
