DUSHANBE, October 31, Asia-Plus - Some 2,000 Tajik permanently living or temporarily staying in Russia’s region of Krasnoyarsk will take part in the Tajik presidential election today, Haidar Olimov, the head of Tajik cultural center “Payvand” in Krasnoyarsk, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, an official opening of polling stations in Krasnoyarsk was held today. Olimov said the voting process runs through November 3. “The process started already today because the vote results should be sent to Tajikistan by November 6,” Olimov said.
Polling stations have been set up in 28 cities of the Russian Federation.
