DUSHANBE, October 2, Asia-Plus --Some 100 vegetable shops to reopen in various areas of Dushanbe in near future.
Bahriddin Valiyev, the head of the trade and markets department of the Dushanbe mayor’s office, said in his interview with Asia-Plus that the state-run enterprise “DushanbeAgroService” plans to ink and agreement with farming units on supply of their products to these shops.
“Prices of farm produce selling though these shops will be lower by 10%-20% than prices of vegetables being sold on the city’s markets,” Valiyev said, noting that vegetables for selling through these shops will be tested for pesticides.
“The main objective of the establishment of these shops is to provide the city residents with cheap and fresh vegetable and fruits products as well as organize competition to the markets,” Valiyev stressed.
Tajik Aluminum Plant (TadAZ) is manufacturing these shops. One such a shop has also been installed in the Karamov Street.
