DUSHANBE, September 6, -- 11,000 servicemen from the Dushanbe Garrison of the Ministry of Defense, as well as the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Interior, as well as members of the National Guard and Border Protection Committee will be on parade to mark the 15th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence in Dushanbe on September 9.
Faridun Mahmadaliyev, a spokesman for the defense ministry, told Asia-Plus that the military parade will include military materiel. Rehearsals have been under way for month, he said.
Tajik Defense Minister Colonel-General Sherali Khairulloyev and Commander of the Dushanbe Garrison Major-General Latif Fayziyev, will command the parade.
