KULOB, August 29, Asia-Plus -- On occasion of the 2700 th anniversary of the establishment of Kulob, its most vulnerable residents have received aid from the country’s president.
Mr. Yusuf Qamishev, deputy mayor of Kulob also head of the commission for distribution of this aid, has told Asia-Plus that the assistance included 500 tons of wheat flour, 100 tons of rice, 100 tons of sugar and 100 tons of vegetable oil.
According to Mr. Qamishev the beneficiaries include veterans of war, disabled people, as well as single-parent families and people whose average income fewer than 20 Somonis a month. “All in all, 10,000 people will received the aid,” the Kulob official said.
