DUSHANBE, August 14, Asia-Plus - The Third International Contest entitled “Art of Book” has ended in Moscow.
Representatives from CIS states have taken part in this contest dedicated to determine the best book published for the period from September 2005 to August 2006.
Muhammad Egamzod, press secretary of the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, has told Asia-Plus that Tajik book entitled “Shoironi Movarounnahr” (Poets of Movarounnahr) published in the Tajik printing-house “Adib” was recognized winner of the nomination “My Universities.”
The book compiled by Tajik researcher Ali Muhammad Khurosoni contains works of classics of Tajik poetry, from Abuabdullo Rudaki to Sadriddin Ayni.
The holding of such contest is provided for by a plan of actions on the implementation of the agreement on cooperation in publishing adopted by the CIS council of heads of government on April 16, 2004.
