DUSHANBE, March 17, Asia-Plus -- Consultative-Information Center for Children with Disabilities “Health” has launched a public-information campaign “Lessons of Kindness”.
The Center head, Ms. Venera Umarova, has told Asia-Plus the main objective of the event is fostering tolerance and mercy at children of preschool ages to children with disabilities.
According to her, the program that has been working in the republic for already four years is supported by Tajikistan’s Commission for Child’s Rights, UNCIEF Country Office in Tajikistan, and the Tajik branch of the Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF).
“The action targets two kindergartens in Dushanbe – ## 151 and 52 in the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe,” said Ms. Umarova, “The action includes lessons of kindness, which explain to children who are the children with disabilities, how to treat of them and how they can help them.”
The action also provides for holding of sports competitions, planting of tree as well plays with participation of children with disabilities, according to her.
