Zakon.kz reports that a native of Tajikistan has set up illegal madrasah in Almaty region, where nineteen children were receiving religious education.  

“As part of the Happy and Safe Childhood project, a prosecutor’s office in Karasai district, coordinated by the Almaty regional prosecutor’s office, has carried out an operation and discovered an illegal religious madrasah, where nineteen children were studying,” says a report released by Zakon.kz

The madrasah has reportedly been set up in a private house and the native of Tajikistan taught children using religious literature.

“During the search, 179 copies of religious literature, as well as a mobile phone and notebook, which are sent for examination were, confiscated,” says the Almaty reginal prosecutor’s office.  “The issue of bringing the detainee to legal responsibility is being decided.  Currently, all children have been returned to their parents.”
