Tajikistan's Foreign Minister Sirodjiddin Muhriddin met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migrants of the State of Palestine Riyaz Al-Maliki in Dushanbe on August 29, the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.
During the talks, issues of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
After the bilateral meeting, the third round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries took place.
During the consultations, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations in the political, economic, trade, investment, tourism, legal, cultural, scientific, educational and healthcare spheres, as well as on cooperation between the two countries within the framework of regional and international organizations.
Following the results of the political consultations, the following documents were signed:
— Protocol of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Migrants of the State of Palestine;
— Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the State of Palestine on cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research;
— Agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Agriculture of the State of Palestine on cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Yesterday, the Embassy of Palestine in Tajikistan opened in Dushanbe on L.Tolstoy Street, 2 in I.Somoni district.
Previously, the functions of the Embassy of Palestine in Tajikistan were assigned to the diplomatic mission of this country in Tashkent.
