Ten newly appointed ambassadors presented their credentials to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on October 23, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
The new ambassadors reportedly include Mr. Aymurad Kochimuradov of Turkmenistan, Mr. Alireza Haghighian of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Mohammad Saeed Sarwar of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. York Schuegraf of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ms. Elsa Pignol of the French Republic, Mr. Salman Bal of the Confederation of Switzerland, Mr. Dorjiyn Bayarkhou of Mongolia, 8) Ms. Pham Thai Nii Mai of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Ms. Maria Agnes Maglasang Cervantes of the Republic of Philippines, and Mr. Sin Hong Chol of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Tajik president reportedly congratulated the ambassadors on their appointment and expressed confidence that they would make contribution to expansion of cooperation of their countries with Tajikistan.
Rahmon reportedly emphasized that Tajikistan considers the continuous development and strengthening of friendly relations and multidimensional beneficial cooperation with countries as an integral part of its foreign policy, which is implemented on the basis of the “open doors” principle.
Emomali Rahmon expressed Tajikistan's readiness to expand cooperation between the countries at the bilateral and multilateral level.
The president also expressed his opinion on the opportunities possibilities of the countries for the enhancement of relations in priority political, economic, commercial, cultural and humanitarian areas.
It was emphasized that Tajikistan welcomes the continuation of cooperation with these countries within the framework of international and regional structures, including the United Nations.
The president stressed the willingness of Tajikistan to enrich the contents of relations between the countries in various areas of mutual interest, which have great unrealized potential.
